This was a really difficult project. I invested 300$ on getting myself a Wacom drawing tablet for this, and intend on continuing this project. For most of my art, I've felt like it was okay to kind of come up with the story, or whatever, as I go. But with something like this, it's best to really plan it out, and I'm kind of bad at planning stuff, coming up with a script, etc. I can come up with major events and improvise in between them, but with a cartoon, you kind of need to figure out the details first. I still really want to make cartoons, and while I mostly want to be the creator of a cartoon, I want to know how to animate myself too. The issue boils down to me needing to become a better writer, and also continuing to work on my animation. Noa on the other hand is a great animator and helped a lot with the script, I applaud her amazing work on this project, and would love to keep making cartoons with her. I honestly feel bad, like I didn't match her effort, and the truth is I did start spinning my tires at a certain point because I'm new to hand drawn animation and writing scripts, and I didn't know what else to do besides my initial idea for the cartoon.
Provided is Noa's animation with audio that I added. I believe she has added some details to it since I made the audio. My animations are also attached, though they are unfinished and do not have audio. I exported them as .Gifs for convenience. The animation I did of the dog's paw turning into a hand was done in photoshop, which I'm very confident in. However, I made the other animation of the dog's fur standing up (for a brief frame you can see the flesh tendrils coming out of his back) in Adobe Animate, which I am not at all as confident in. I've only used it for the bouncing ball animation in DA1. I plan to keep learning animate, so I can animate this cartoon in anything other than photoshop, which doesn't seem practical at all for this project.
