For project 4, I came to the show and had some of my video work up on the TV. I unfortunately forgot to actually get video of my own work, but I got video of the rest of the event which I will post here. This was a lot better of a setup than the art show for my last DA2 class. The power had me worried at first, the circuit kept flipping, but it all got handled, and the rest of the night ran smoothly. I was really impressed with the class, there was a lot of good work there, and I also felt a lot of support, which was really nice. I had people approaching me about my video, asking about my work, complimenting my work, and one of my classmates even said my video was inspirational (xoxo I love u). When my video first came on there was a big crowd around the TV, and seeing that many people engaged in my work felt really nice. I really appreciated that people enjoyed my work, it made me feel like there is room in this world for my art, like people might actually be interested in what I'm making, like there was value in it that I can capitalize on >:-). But actually, it made me feel like I had a niche and a place for my art, which I do not always feel that way. I sometimes feel like my art goes over people’s heads, and is seen as bizarre in more of an artless way, so I was happy that people seemed to be really engaged with my work. Attached is an upload of the video I had playing, as well as some video of the show that I got while I was there.
