Maybe art doesn’t need a theme… Maybe art doesn’t have to have meaning… Maybe this project could be a grotesque comment on Pop Culture. I don’t like having themes… I want to just make art to make art, not make art to fit certain criteria. I also don’t want to really assign meaning to my art, as I feel like that takes away from the fun of creating it, I never really make art to have a meaning, I like to just make art that I like. And art that I like is usually just graphically stimulating, not profound or deep in any sense. Maybe it could be album covers? Maybe I can just run with an aesthetic for the theme, and that leaves a lot of creative control otherwise, like vaporwave art where I can also incorporate whatever else I want to do. This project will probably be a vaporwave aesthetic theme where I can throw in commentary or whatever about pop culture and fetishization.
